Imagine writing a letter to yourself 10 years from now. What advice, hopes, or reminders would you include?

Dear Future Me, Here are some reminders for you: 1. Keep exploring and learning. 2. Mistakes lead to growth. 3. Focus on what matters most. 4. Practice self-compassion. 5. Step outside your comfort zone. 6. Appreciate the little things. 7. Acknowledge what you’re thankful for. 8. Keep in touch with loved ones. 9. Evolve your goals as you grow. 10. Stay aligned with your "why.¨ This letter reminds you to remain curious, embrace growth, prioritize relationships, and practice gratitude and self-compassion. Writing this emphasizes the importance of personal growth and self-awareness, guiding you on your life’s journey.

Describe your personal approach to creativity. What steps do you follow when you’re working on a project. Tell me about a project you created that you were most proud of.

My approach to creativity involves brainstorming, planning, and iteration. I start by jotting down ideas and then create a rough outline to guide my work. Taking breaks helps me gain fresh perspectives as I progress. One project I’m proud of is a short film I made for school. I wrote the script, directed, and edited it, focusing on a story about friendship and resilience. This project taught me the value of collaboration and storytelling. The positive feedback boosted my confidence and inspired me to explore my creative interests.

Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?

In my sophomore year, I took a month off from my part-time job because I was overwhelmed with school. This break helped me focus on my grades and taught me the importance of self-care when things get too hectic. When I returned, I felt refreshed and ready to manage my responsibilities better.

Describe a place where you feel the most at peace and explain why.

My favorite peaceful spot is the ocean at sunrise. The sky glows with soft colors, and the sound of waves calms my mind. Sitting on the sand, I feel both tranquil and connected to nature. The ocean at sunrise is my serene sanctuary, filled with beauty and calm. This time by the water reminds me to slow down and embrace life’s simple moments, inspiring a positive start to my day.

Write about a moment when you felt you had the power to make a difference in someone else's life.

During my sophomore year, I volunteered at a community center and helped a sixth grader named Mia with math. She was shy and struggled, but after sharing my own experiences and using games for learning, she gained confidence. On test day, Mia smiled and said, “I think I can do this!” It felt amazing to see how a bit of support can truly make a difference in someone’s life.

Write about something that you heard that you wish you could unhear.

I once heard a rumor that a classmate lied about others, which made me distrustful. Later, I found out it was false, and I wished I could unhear it. The rumor changed my perception of that classmate, and learning the truth was a relief but left me with regret. This experience taught me to avoid believing gossip and to focus on getting to know people for who they really are.

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.

A friend once told me, "Your story matters, even if you think it doesn't." This simple statement shifted my perspective and encouraged me to share my experiences more openly. They reminded me that everyone’s life has value and that sharing our stories can connect us and help others. It was a powerful affirmation of my experiences and feelings. Since then, I’ve been more open about my struggles and triumphs. This change has strengthened my connections with others and reinforced that our narratives are impactful, inspiring both myself and those around me.

Prompt: Summarize your holiday break. In addition, write about 5 personal goals that you want to achieve in 2025. Explain why you chose those goals.

During my holiday break, I enjoyed quality time with family and friends, visiting my grandparents, and taking a fun hiking trip to the mountains. It was a perfect blend of relaxation and reconnecting with loved ones. For 2025, my personal goals are: 1. Improve physical fitness: I want to lead a healthier lifestyle and boost my energy. 2. Travel to three new countries: Exploring different cultures excites me and expands my worldview. 3. Read 12 books: This goal will help me unwind and learn new things. 4. Volunteer regularly: Giving back to my community is important for personal growth and empathy. 5. Learn photography: I'd love to express my creativity and capture special moments. I chose these goals to foster personal development and enrich my life experiences in the coming year.
